And we’re back

Welcome back to our wonderposts for 2018. I know we’re already five or six weeks into the year! How are you progressing?

This was, for many of us, the first clinical week of 2018. New jobs, new hospitals or clinics, new staff, new paging systems and IT facilities, new patients and new expectations. It’s a lot to take on board! Some of us would have had great weeks and some not-so-great. How was yours? Any stellar moments?

There may be a bit of a change up with the wonderpost some weeks as this is my first year of surg regging (*gulp*) which means less time for anything other than work. My news-reading has taken a hit. BUT! I do still intend to put together something for you each week, truncated though it might be.

So what happened in the world this week? Aside from us all starting new jobs, and the ongoing (scary) saga in the UK?

Struggle to get things done? This article on productivity is actually interesting and helpful. But reading it may be a bit of a distraction…

How do we prevent epidemics? Here are some ideas.

What was our natural landscape before foxes and cats? And what’s all this about ants?
